Painting Embroidery

Painting Embroidery is a series of pieces started in 2015. I mix ink and embroidery on linen to create abstract drawings. I work directly on the fabric without preparing any sketches beforehand. The result is spontaneous explosion of patterns and colors. All my embroideries are completely made by hand. This slow process enables meditation, reflexion and to create poetical drawings which represent my inner landscape. My process is inspired by the art works of primitives tribes or ancestral rituals such as the paintings from Aboriginals or the tibetan mandalas.
