Sabatina Leccia is a french artist born in 1984.
Her works balances between Art and Craft.
In 2012, she graduated from MA Material Futures at Central Saint Martin’s School of Art and Design in London. There she began todevelop experimental embroidery. Before setting up her workshop in Montreuil, she worked as an embroiderer for Haute couture and collaborates with many luxury brands (Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga…). In 2015, she began to exhibit these first embroidered paintings at the Amélie de Borchgrave gallery in Brussels and from thereshe carried out numerous artistic projects: Artistic residency in Estonia, collaboration with the Fabrique Nomade in 2017, then in 2019 she was called by the Maison Patou to embroider the costume of the academician Barbara Cassin.
Sabatina has now set up her workshop at Usine Chapal in Montreuil. She works regularly with interior design agencies (Soho Myriad in the United States, Winch Design in the United Kingdom, Gilles & Boissiers in France).She makes tailor-made drawn or embroidered works for hotels or individuals. Alongside her personal projects, Sabatina regularly collaborates with Alix Waline represented by the Armel Soyer gallery.Together they recently exhibited their work at Genius Loci, curated by Marion Vignal, in Gio Ponti's house in Garches.
