Sabatina Leccia is a french artist born in 1984.
Her works balances between Art and Craft.
In 2012, she graduated from MA Material Futures (known as Textile Futures) at Central Saint Martin’s School of Art and Design in London. There, she started to develop experimental embroidery.
Before setting up her studio in Paris, she worked as a freelance embroiderer for high fashion. After two years working in that field, Sabatina left definitively this industry that she found inhuman and under pressure.
In 2015, she started to exhibit her Painting Embroidery series at Amélie de Borchgrave gallery in Bruxelles. The same year, she has been selected for an Art Residency in Estonia, here she has developed Poetic Plastic.
From 2016 to 2017, she sat up her studio at Grands Voisins and she worked on various projects and collaborations around experimental embroidery (La Fabrique Nomade, A Tavola, collab with Alix Waline …).
Sabatina Leccia is currently based in Paris and she is always open for collaborations and beautiful projects.
